CAP Strathearn Debt Centre
If you are feeling weighed down by debt, then CAP can help. The CAP Strathearn team will give you a listening ear in the privacy of your own home and provide a real solution to your debts.
Run by Cap Strathearn and supported by local churches. Advice surgeries can be held within the Crieff Connexions Hub and CAP volunteers are usually available on a Wednesday morning during normal opening hours. www.capuk.org
CATH (Churches Action for the Homeless, Perth)
Churches Action for the Homeless (CATH) is a local charity which supports, encourages and promotes the development and delivery of projects to relieve homelessness and poor housing, improve the conditions of life and generally aid the development of persons who are homeless in the Perth & Kinross Council area. Advice surgeries can be offered by appointment in the Crieff Connexions Hub.
The Foodbank provides short-term emergency
food and support to local people in crisis.
Currently located in Kings Centre next to Crieff Hospital.
Strathearn Talking News
Strathearn Talking News provide an audio recording of local news from the Strathearn Herald for those individuals who are blind or partially sighted.
We've helped get this on to a phone number so people can listen while the normal usb stick service can't operate.
The Tool Library, run by Remake, started in
the Crieff Connexions Hub and is now located at the Remake building
near the Crieff Visitor Centre,
Muthill Rd, Crieff PH7 4HQ. It’s a way of sharing resources that people find useful occasionally but don’t need all the time. Some examples of that might be tools for DIY projects or a sewing machine; a pressure washer or a carpet cleaner; specialist cookware or even an electric bike!
It operates like a traditional book lending library. By becoming a member, you can have access to things you sometimes need or want to use without spending lots of money and without having to find space for it in your home.
